Everythings coming up Roses

Things are blooming and growing everywhere! It is wonderful to be able to cultivate and design with living things such as these roses.

These are my faithful friends. They never complain when it rains! The just sit patiently and wait until its over. They love you even when you don't take them for a walk in the AM but are glad when you do in the afternoon. They are grateful for their food even if it is the same thing night after night. They are content to lay at your feet until you scratch their heads. They understand every movement of you body and face. The sit quietly just to be near you. I am proud to call them my friends.

Frogs Pond

What is this you ask? Tadpoles! Yes you can see the water ripple with these little young frogs. But alas these little beauties are not long for this world I feel. As you can see in the next photo a snapping turtle has taken up residence here at Frog's Pond and with this much food supply I don't feel that he or she will be moving on anytime soon.

Winter is gone

But some of the cool weather is still hanging on and boy am I thankful for that. After moving from Ireland to America again I notice that I prefer Irish weather. The days may be a little warm but never reach the temps. that I have encountered here in the states. In Ireland we did not have an air condishiners in our homes just the opening of a window let in all the cool air you would need. Even through the summer months we would sometime be in need of a small fire in the hearth. But needless to say where I miss Ireland and England the most is when I work in my garden. Here are some shots of my up and coming garden for this summer.
